Why Go Beyond Broadway?
There's no denying it. Broadway is the heart of Music City and what makes Nashville so iconic. Here, music can be heard at all hours of the day and night. Its iconic Nashville - honky-tonks, neon lights, and rooftop bars full of endless energy.
If it's your first visit, it's an experience you shouldn't miss. However, after you've spent a few hours on Broadway, you may find yourself looking for something different.
Fortunately, Nashville has so much more to offer. Beyond the crowds, you'll find hidden speakeasies, rooftop wellness experiences, alpaca encounters, puppy yoga, candlelight concerts, beautiful gardens, and one-of-a-kind attractions that many visitors (and locals) completely overlook.
Whether you're visiting or live nearby, these hidden gems offer a chance to experience a completely different side of the city - one that most people never discover.

🧘Puppies & Yoga
📍 Location: Puppies & Yoga Nashville, Elysium Studios, Nashville, TN
🌐 Website: Puppies & Yoga
⏰ Allow: 75 mins.
⭐ Perfect For: Animal lovers, couples, girls' outings, and anyone looking for a unique Nashville experience
If downward dog is your favorite pose, wait until an actual puppy curls up on your mat. Nashville's Puppies & Yoga classes combine a beginner-friendly yoga session with adorable puppies for one of the cutest experiences in the city.
Most classes begin with a 45-minute, all-level yoga class while curious puppies roam freely around the room. The yoga session is followed by 30 minutes of cuddling the puppies, playtime, and photos.
No previous yoga experience is necessary, and yoga mats are typically provided.
"I honestly wasn't sure how much yoga I would get done with a dozen puppies running around the room—and that's exactly what made it so much fun. Half the class couldn't stop laughing every time a puppy curled up on someone's mat."
✨ Pro Tip: Classes often sell out, especially on weekends, so reserve your spot in advance. Puppy breeds are usually announced a few days before each session.
✨ Another Pro Tip: Leave your belongings near the entrance—even your readers. I learned the hard way after a curious puppy decided my prescription glasses looked like the perfect chew toy.

Music Beyond Broadway
Where Nashville's musical magic continues after you leave the honky-tonks.
Broadway's honky-tonks may be Nashville's biggest draw, but they're only part of the city's incredible music scene. From candlelit concerts inside a full-scale replica of the Parthenon to performances at the Grand Ole Opry and the historic Ryman Auditorium, these experiences showcase Music City in unforgettable ways.

The Parthenon is one of Nashville's most iconic landmarks, but after dark it transforms into one of the city's most magical concert venues. Candlelight Concerts feature talented musicians performing everything from classical masterpieces to tributes to artists like Coldplay, Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Taylor Swift, and more—all surrounded by the warm glow of hundreds of flickering candles. Concert themes change throughout the year, so there's always something new to experience.
The combination of live music, candlelight, and the towering 42-foot statue of Athena creates an unforgettable atmosphere that's unlike any traditional concert venue. Even if you've visited the Parthenon before, seeing it illuminated by candlelight is a completely different experience.
✨ Pro Tip: Concerts frequently sell out, especially popular tribute performances, so purchase tickets early. Arrive at least 30 minutes before showtime to find parking and enjoy the atmosphere before the music begins.

Browse exclusive vinyl releases, watch records being pressed through viewing windows, explore unique music memorabilia, and discover why this iconic shop has become a must-visit destination for music fans.
One of its most memorable features is the Voice-O-Graph Booth, a restored vintage recording booth that lets you record your own voice, song, or personal message directly onto a vinyl record. Originally popular in the 1940s and '50s, it's one of the few working Voice-O-Graph booths in the world and creates a souvenir that's as unique as Nashville itself.
✨ Pro Tip: Don't leave without recording a Voice-O-Graph. Whether you sing a favorite song, leave a message for someone special, or simply capture a memory from your trip, it's a keepsake you'll treasure long after your Nashville vacation.

Unlike the lively honky-tonks on Broadway, this intimate venue invites guests to truly listen as talented singer-songwriters perform the hits they've written for some of country music's biggest stars—often sharing the inspiration and stories behind each song along the way. The venue has become one of Nashville's premier songwriter destinations and has been introducing audiences to both established hitmakers and rising artists since 2006.
With great food, table service, and exceptional acoustics, it's easy to spend an entire evening here discovering the next big name in country music—or realizing you've been listening to the songwriter behind some of your favorite songs all along.

Monday nights are also home to Song Suffragettes, Nashville's acclaimed all-female singer-songwriter showcase that has helped launch artists like Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, and Kelsea Ballerini.
Food, Drink & Nightlife
Eat, sip, and celebrate Nashville in unforgettable ways.
Some of Nashville's best memories happen around a table or with a drink in hand after the sun goes down. Whether you're crafting your own Goo Goo Cluster, discovering a hidden speakeasy, enjoying wine in a peaceful creekside setting, or catching a live show at a vintage bowling alley, these experiences prove there's much more to Nashville's culinary and nightlife scene than Broadway.
🎳 Go Bowling at a Live Concert Venue at Brooklyn Bowl
📍 Location: Brooklyn Bowl, 925 3rd Avenue North, Nashville, TN (Germantown)
🌐 Website: Brooklyn Bowl Nashville
⏰ Allow: 2–4 hours depending on if there is a concert
⭐ Perfect For: Couples, families, groups of friends, and music lovers looking for a fun night beyond Broadway
Forget everything you think you know about bowling alleys. Brooklyn Bowl Nashville combines a retro vintage-style bowling alley, live concert venue, award-winning restaurant, and craft cocktail bars all under one roof, creating one of the city's most unique nights out.
I expected a fun place to bowl, but I didn't expect to spend the evening listening to live music, enjoying surprisingly good food, and soaking up the lively atmosphere. Whether you reserve a lane, catch a concert, or simply stop in for dinner and drinks, it's the kind of place that's just as entertaining to experience as it is to bowl.
✨ Pro Tip: Check the concert calendar before your visit. Many nights feature nationally touring artists, so you may be able to combine live music and bowling into one unforgettable evening.

Nestled along the creek in the charming village of Leiper's Fork, this picturesque tasting room invites visitors to slow down, sip Tennessee wines, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
What makes it truly unique? On warm days, you can take your glass of wine down to the creek and dip your feet in the cool water while you relax and sit back in a cozy Adirondack chair. It's a simple experience, but one that's surprisingly memorable and not something you'll find at most wineries.
This satellite location offers wine flights, snacks, occasional live music and special events, and plenty of scenic spots down by the water to relax with a glass of wine making it easy to lose track of time.
✨ Pro Tip: Pair your visit with time exploring Leiper's Fork's art galleries, boutiques, and local restaurants for a relaxing half-day trip from Nashville.

Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or simply looking for a memorable night beyond Broadway's honky-tonks, Red Phone Booth offers one of Nashville's most distinctive nightlife experiences.
✨ Pro Tip: You'll need the daily access code to enter. You can often obtain it by contacting the venue in advance or through your hotel concierge. Dress is business casual so leave the flip-flops and athletic wear behind.
⭐ Looking for more hidden bars? Nashville is home to several other creative speakeasies, including Attaboy (no menu, just bartenders creating cocktails based on your preferences), The Patterson House (one of the city's original craft cocktail bars), and The Fox Bar & Cocktail Club inside The Fairlane Hotel.
