National Public Lands Day
Get Into Any National Park Free During The Nation’s Largest Volunteer Event on Saturday, September 25, 2021
Every year since 1994, the National Environmental Education Foundation, in cooperation with the Department of the Interior, the Department of the Army and the Department of Agriculture, organizes National Public Lands Day on the 4th Saturday in September.
This is the nation’s largest single-day volunteer event where people all over the country come together to volunteer in ways that educate and encourage stewardship of our public lands. Thousands of people volunteer their time restoring and improving lands around the country doing things like trash pick-ups, replanting projects, trail work and restoration projects. Hundreds of charities and organizations sign up each year to host events and volunteer projects.

Other participating federal agencies include the US Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the Bureau of Reclamation, the US Forest Service and the US Army Corps of Engineers.
