Santa Cruz Wharf
The current Santa Cruz Wharf was built in 1914 but had six predecessors. It extends half a mile into the Monterey Bay making it the longest pier on the West Coast.
It’s a great spot for fishing, catching a boat tour, viewing sea lions, shopping, dining and nightlife. You can find Stagnaro Bros. Outdoor Fish Market here which has been in operation since 1937 as well as restaurants.
The Wharf has also been home to the Wharf to Wharf Race on the 4th Sunday of July every year since 1973, a foot race that starts here and ends at the Capitola Wharf with 16,000 runners.
