If you’re anything like me, you love tracking your travels. Maybe you push pins into a map of all the places you’ve visited, keep score of how many U.S. states and national parks you’ve explored on scratch-off posters, or collect destination stickers on your water bottle.
The problem is that water bottles eventually get replaced, scratch-off posters may not exactly match your home décor, and wall maps are just plain bulky. That’s why I’m loving an app I discovered called Pin Traveler.

Pin Traveler is a travel tracker and world travel map app that allows you to mark the countries, states, cities, and individual destinations you’ve visited. You can use it to document past trips, save travel memories, build wish lists, and plan future adventures.
The app has continued evolving since I first discovered it. Recent updates include redesigned trip timelines, additional travel statistics, more map customization, friend comparisons, shared trips, and the ability to create animated trip videos.

One of my favorite things about Pin Traveler is how many ways it gives me to document my travels. I can place digital pins on all the destinations I’ve visited, collect flags from different countries, check my travel statistics, and save photos and notes from individual trips. I can also connect with friends, see where they’ve traveled, and discover new ideas for my own adventures.
Another fun feature is the ability to create and save trip itineraries. You can revise your plans while traveling and later look back at each trip whenever you’re feeling nostalgic. Perhaps you’ll want to repeat the same adventure 20 years from now, share the itinerary with a friend, or leave a legacy that your great-grandchildren can use to follow in your footsteps one day.
It even includes a wish list where you can keep track of your travel bucket list and mark off destinations as you explore them.
