4th Grade National Park Pass
OUR NATIONAL LANDS & WATERS BELONG TO ALL OF US
(5th Graders are also eligible for the 2020-2021 school year)
I am a very strong believer in the importance of getting children out into nature where they will learn at a young age to respect the beauty of this world and protect it. Teaching them about our oceans, forests, mountains and streams is to teach them to love the outdoors and to take care of our public lands. If they do not have an appreciation for nature, how can we expect them to be good stewards of our planet?
I recently learned of something new that I had no idea even existed. I am thrilled to share it and spread the word! It is the free U.S. Annual 4th Grade National Park Pass which allows 4th graders AND their families to visit America’s natural wonders and historic sites at no cost. It includes national parks, national forests and grasslands, wildlife refuges and other public lands and waters managed by the U.S. Forest Service and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
What an incredible opportunity for children of ALL walks of life to experience our beautiful country, learn about their heritage and connect with nature.
Note: Passes must be printed and brought with you on your visits. Electronic copies are not accepted.
Note: Many 4th graders missed out on using their Annual 4th Grade National Park Pass during the 2019-2020 school year. As such, a new voucher is also available for 5th grade students that is valid October 28, 2020 through August 31, 2021.
